Obituary of Mary J. Dougherty

Mary J. Dougherty, “My” age 90, a 64 year resident of Aston, PA, died Sunday, November 24, 2019 at home.

      

“My” was born in Chester, PA and was a graduate of Chester High School.  She worked from home.  “My” loved watching sports and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family.

 

Daughter of the late George C. and Helen (Burns) Smedley; Wife of the late George A. Dougherty; sister of the late George Smedley, Hunter Smedley, Robert Smedley and Helen Shanahan

 

Survivors:

Son: Jay (Melanie) Dougherty of West Chester, PA

Daughter: Sharon Dougherty (Michael Nannelli) of West Chester, PA

Granddaughters: Colleen Dougherty of West Chester, PA  and Jillian (Evan) Laude of Garnet Valley, Pa.

Sisters: Ann Smedley and Elizabeth Stanaitis

Brother: Harry (Maryann) Smedley

Sister-in-Law: Lynn Smedley

Also survived by many nieces and nephews

 

The family is invited to My’s visitation on Wednesday, November 27th after 11:00AM at Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063, where a service will be held at 12noon, followed by the interment at Lawn Croft Cemetery.
