Obituary of Robert P. Hansen

Robert Peter Hansen, Sr. 78, of Folsom, PA, with strong faith, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 3, 2011. Bob was born and raised in Essington, PA and was the son of the late Charles and Ellen Peterson Hansen. He had resided in Swarthmore, PA for 42 years before moving to Folsom, PA 5 years ago. Bob attended Ridley Park High School and than enlisted in the U. S. Marines Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was employed for 38 years at the Philadelphia Electric Company as a Cable Splicer/Dispatcher retiring in 1991. Bob was a member of the Community Church of Folsom and past member of the Swarthmore Fire and Protection Association. Bob was devoted to his Savior and his family. Most of all he loved the time he spent with his family especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time at their vacation home in Ocean City, Maryland where he enjoyed boating. Bob was predeceased by his son, Cris H. Hansen and 5 brothers: Charles, Eric, Hartley, Evert and William Hansen SURVIVORS Wife of 57 years, Carol Hansen Sons: Robert P. Hansen, Jr. of Folsom, PA and Kurt (Brittany) Hansen of Milford, Ohio Daughter: Kate (Sam) Dickey of Swarthmore, PA Grandchildren: Kelsey and Kristen Hansen, Grace, Harmony, Melody and Naomi Dickey and Eric, Jenna and Annika Hansen.
