Obituary of Barbara A. Golden

Barbara Ann Butakis Golden, age 68, of Thornton, PA, passed away Friday morning, December 20, 2019 after her battle with cancer. She was born June 02, 1951 in Chester, PA, a daughter of the late Stanley and Stella Butakis. She was a member of Saint Simon and Jude, and a retired registered Nurse at Crozer Hospital. She enjoyed needlepoint, her vacation home in Ocean City, NJ and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Thomas J Golden. One son, Thomas A Golden. One daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth M. Ramos (Golden) and James D. Ramos. Two step daughters, Diane Conaway and Dawn Golden. Several Grandchildren and one brother, David Butakis. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her. Visitation is from 9 am to 10:30 am at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063 Funeral Mass will be held 11:30 am on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Saint Simon and Jude in West Chester, PA. Burial will follow in the Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Barbara’s family will serve as pallbearers.
