I was so deeply saddened to hear about Skinner's death. As her ex-sister-in-law, I had been out of touch with her for many years, but I will always remember her as a vibrant, fun-loving, athletic woman, and a great Mom to her two adorable children. My prayers are with Tom, Brian, and Katie.
Oh my Skinner ,
We met in school at the young age of 13 ! Instantly we were best buds , inseparable we had soooo much fun . The best part is we remained great friends til the day you passed ☹️. I will treasure all the memories we’ve had and this will help with healing. All the laughter , talks and adventures we had reigns through my head and heart ❤️ it keeps you a part of me until we meet again !! Love Always , Patti ( Trish)
I remember watching Skinner play fied hockey and lacross behind Sun Valley high school in my years their. skinner was a hustler with a never quit attidude, she worked hard to be the excellent athelet that she was. I remember passing her in the hallway in school everyday she always had a bright smile on her face.she was a radiant light! She will be missed dearly by everyone that ever knew her.
My memory - memories - of Skinner started after Howard, her oldest brother, & I got together in 1984. Skinner & Tom had already started their family when he took me down to the homestead on visits. Skinner's family of origin was filled with lots of interesting personalities, I always enjoyed visiting her & Tom & their children, Brian & Katie Michele in their small & tidy house in Upland. I remember Skinner always laughing, always positive, always a sense of warmth & fun - & concern, too about giving her children the best upbringing, passing on her values but also nurturing each of their own unique personalities. She had an underlying determination & strength to better herself & the lives of her family. Now that she is gone in body, her spirit is set free to continue being an example for those who knew & loved her. RIP Virginia.

Skinner was a strong and vibrant woman who made her life what she wanted it to be, regardless of any obstacles. I admired her and loved her. When I think of her, I remember the athletic teenager I got to know so many years ago, the beautiful bride who was marrying her beloved soulmate, the devoted young mother and the beautiful soul that will always remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Rest In Peace, Skinner.
I was introduced to Skinner by her Sister Fran. What a great family. They invited me to join in a local triathlon including a bike ride, canoeing and beautiful trail walk. Skinner and I were partners on a tandem bike. Fran and Tony were with us too that day. We had so much fun. The weather was fantastic! Skinner was amazing. We had lots of smiles and laughter that day.
Skinner was full of positivity, energy, and love! Her smile just makes you smile and feel her good nature. She will be missed, but I know others have many other happy moments of Skinner that will be shared now and later keeping those smiles and happy feelings with us. Big hugs to all of Skinner's family.
I met Skinner a long time ago. Through Facebook got to know her better, she was a very strong and loving woman. I know she will be missed.
I remember Skinner being our Wing on Sun Valley's field hockey team, flying down the field with the other team in chase. She was so fast. And, what a great person. I am sorry for your loss.
