Condolences
Though I never met Dr. Koch personally, I quoted him extensively in my book: the Origin of Christianity: the Pacifism, Communalism and Vegetarianism of Primitive Christianity. I utilized his Ph.D. thesis to the University of Pennsylvania of 1976 on microfilm reproduction: A Critical Investigation of Epiphanius' Knowledge of the Ebionites: a translation and critical discussion of "Panarion 30." I contacted him once by mail and appreciated his critique of my book. May his soul rest in peace and may his memory endure through the ages.

I can’t count the number of times I have have quoted him or thought of him as I preached or taught over the past four decades. His quiet brilliance deep faith and surprising humor were so much a part of my seminary experience. He was the first one to lay hands on my head as I was ordained. His insight and foresight was a blessing beyond anything I could say. Thank you good doctor beloved professor and humble Christian man
We just learned of Glenn's passing. Glenn was not only one of my professors, he was a friend and mentor to me during those years at Eastern Baptist Seminary (1959-1963).
We have fond memories of time together when our daughters shared a playpen and we enjoyed backyard cookouts, working on wood projects, and sightseeing in the Philadelphia area.
Liz and I join in sending our thoughts and prayers to Peggy and all the family.
Glenn will be remembered as a committed and caring teacher who left his impact on many of us over the years.
I am very sorry to hear of the passing of your father. He was a very kind man. My memories of him at the DM Air Base in Tucson are so lovely...my family loved yours.
I had been looking to find your father and David over the last years. I did not have an address...My mother Frances passed away at 97 years old in July 2020. I understand the pain you must be feeling and pray you can find peace and comfort.
Please have David get in touch with me if possible.

God Bless You all as you deal with your loss.
Dr. Koch was an excellent teacher and a role model of conduct. He opened so many avenues of study and insight during my time at EBTS. I appreciated his classes more than he knew. I owe him a debt of gratitude.

Dear Ms. Peggy,
We are very sorry for your loss. Seminary days are so filled with growth and wonderful memories. Dr. Koch was our New Testament and Greek Professor. What a joy to be challenged with his classes, and cheer up with his kindness and sense of humor! Know that we will be praying for the whole family in this time of grieving. What a privilege to be part of EBTS family.
Much love to all, Adalia Gutierrez Lee
I send my condolences on the loss of your husband and father. He was my professor at EBTS during 1980-81. A friend and I got to know him better when we took independent study Greek, meeting with him as a class of two. Another small group studied Jewish mythology in comparison to biblical history, which was a fun and stimulating class. I always appreciated his teaching, his kind spirit as well as academic curiosity and challenging us to do our best. Years later, I saw him singing in the choir at Upper Merion while speaking about missions. He continued to be encouraging. May God comfort you at this time.
My husband & I were students st EBTS while Dr. Koch was there in the mid-eighties. He taught us Greek. I also took a Greek seminar with him & 2 other students. He was patient & kind as we struggled through translating texts.
Dr. Koch also was the photographer at our wedding.
Please accept our condolences at this time of loss. May you know the depths of God's comfort & love.
My wife and I attended EBTS. Dr. Koch was our professor for Greek, and he also was the photographer for our wedding at the seminary chapel.
He was always gentle but firm in the way he taught. During Greek he had a way of looking over his glasses at all of us, and grinning while teaching a particularly tough part of the language. He loved his work, and he loved his students.
The day of our wedding was a HOT June Saturday, and as time went on Dr. Koch loosened his tie, and sweating, continued to take beautiful photos that we cherish over 30 years later.
May you be comforted and strengthened by God, and be encouraged by the memory of this gentle man, and by Christ's loving presence.
We share your loss and love you all. Keeping you close to our hearts and in our prayers during these difficult times. I always looked up to my big brother with lots of love, pride and respect. We will all surely miss him. We know our goodbyes are not forever, so we will see him again someday.
Love to you all, Gail & Bill
