Obituary of Roberta E. Coale

Roberta E. Coale, age 94, of Parkside, PA, joined her Savior and her husband on Friday, May 8, 2020. A devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother and good friend. Roberta quietly went home after an unexpected medical condition. All who knew her, loved her and her wonderful smile. She loved her Lord, her church, family and friends. She was a prayer warrior and rarely missed a Sunday church service and breakfast afterwards. Roberta was a stay at home mom for years until her girls were teens and then she worked for Dr. Journey as a medical secretary. She loved working for Dr. Journey. Mrs. Coale was a great caretaker and cared for her husband for several years when he was sick before his death. She was always there to help make a meal or watch grandchildren whenever needed. Roberta considered others first and we were so lucky to have her for so many awesome years. She was married for 63 years to her loving husband, until he went home to the Lord. Over the past few years mom was blessed to have a great friend in Herb Pankonin. She at 94 still drove her car, went out frequently and spent time with family. Roberta could make you laugh, enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her cup of coffee everyday her newspaper and enjoyed beautiful sunsets. She always loved Penn State and in her later years became an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Eagles and her favorite quarterbacks. We will hold her forever in our hearts and remember all the great times. We know in her heart, it was her time to go home. She is with her Lord, dancing with dad, united with her granddaughter and we will be with them again. We love you Mom! Preceded in death by her parents Harold and Anna Jones; her husband Mayor Wesley R. Coale; her sister Margaret Culbert and her granddaughter, Rebecca Croft. Daughters: Patricia (Jack) Donald, Sherri (Dave) Bramble and Diane (Steve) Croft Grandchildren: Christine (Scott) Rogers, John Donald, Karen (Jeff) Zappariello, Jennifer Donald (fiance Ken) David (Jackie) Bramble, Christopher (Carla) Bramble, Aaron Bramble (girlfriend Brittany) , Joseph (Khumbo) Croft, and Amy (Bryan) Houck. Great-Grandchildren: Jamie Rogers( fiance Elyse), Lindsay Rogers, Samuel Donald, Johnathon Donald, Nicholas Zappariello, Olivia Zappariello, Riley Bramble, Ava Bramble, Zoe Croft, Elijah Croft, Noah Schrotenboer, Bella Schrotenboer, Ezra Schrotenboer and Miles Schrotenboer A Private Service will be held Wednesday, May 13th at 12 Noon at Gateway Community Church.
