Condolences
I first met Nancy when I came to work at Lawn Croft Cemetery. Over the years we became close friends and I enjoyed the many days we were together sharing stories about our families and how we both loved the Lord. Some of Nancy's sayings still ring in my memory. "Ask your congressman, he gets paid to care". Another one was "I'm proud of ya!" She had such a great sense of humor and always made you laugh. I admired the love that she and Bob had an also her unending generosity to everyone. We stayed in touch after she retired and even the last week we were texting to each other. Rest in Peace Nancy. You have been a good and faithful servant. I will treasure these memories and hold her love in my heart.
I knew Nancy and the Carroll family for most of my life. My sister was married to her brother, Jim. We grew up in the same town, and I saw her and Bob on many occasions at church and on holidays at my sister's house. I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing, and send sincere condolences to her family and friends.

She was hilarious and I’ve always loved her sense of humor. My favorite memory of Nancy goes all the way back to my childhood (I’m 56 now). I’ll never forget I was riding in the car with her, I had to be about 6 or 7, and I was sitting in the front seat and I started complaining about the sun beating in the window and how hot it was and she turned to me and said “what do you want me to do plant a palm tree in the dashboard?” Omg I laughed so hard and still do! She was one of kind! I know she’s laughing with our Lord now! She talked the talk and walked the walked and we’re all better people for knowing her.
Nancy was always a great help and in high spirits during the many times I came to Lawn Croft to get info for Find-A-Grave requests. Such a quick wit and an overwhelming spirit that loved to help people. I was so fortunate to have known her. A bright ray of sunshine that will be deeply missed.
Aunt Nancy will be deeply missed. She was such a strong, fun, loving, giving woman who went out of her way to keep the family together.
It was a pleasure working with Nancy at Lawn Croft Cemetery. When I got hired in 2013 the learning curve was high, and Nancy made sure I towed the line with a hug on one hand and an iron fist on the other! She would never settle for anything less than the best, and I believe that was the motto by which she lived. Fond memories of company Christmas lunches with Bob in the kitchen carving the turkey and a family style sit down feast with the crew. There wasn't a one of us that didn't hold Nancy in the highest regard. She was faithful to her Lord, her family, her community, and her co-workers every step of the way, and will always hold a place in our hearts.

Charlotte Kiker We tried to be so careful and to avoid giving her the COVID 19 which was a success, however God had another plan for our beloved Nancy. He gave us the opportunity to share a part of or little bit of her world and gave us the power to be of assistance to her when she needed. We enjoyed every moment of being able to do for her. We loved her and will continue to love her and keep her close to our memory.. Friday nights, Holidays, Birthdays, and vacations and of course the Family reunions, and end of the year party and an ordinary day of occasional dropping by her home or calling her, talking and hearing her voice, sitting across the table for long talks, were memories that will never be forgotten. Someone said that heaven gained an angel and they weren't wrong.
There are so many memories that I find it impossible to list just one. From Christmas Eve, to family reunions, to September end of summer picnics. She always had an open heart and open door. The past few months have been dinner on Monday nights. Sometimes we would go out, sometimes we ate in. Those were special nights. I am truly honored to be have able to call her my friend as well as my aunt. She has meant so much to me and my family. She was a great teacher and I am glad that she finally gets to join the party in Heaven. Love you always. Beth
