Mid 1980’s California - Rita and Bob Joseph became my second family. Through this I came to know Barb, what a joy. During holidays and special occasions when she visited, I was privileged to observe her loving and kind ways with Rita and her grand babies. I can hear her laughter and see her smile. She embraced me as Rita’s friend and I felt blessed to receive some of her stitching when I had my first child. A strong woman was Barb, knew what she wanted and was bold enough to live strong! What a fine example for us ladies. I am better for having met this lovely lady.
Barbara was very kind & thoughtful in her conversation, most especially if the subject was regarding a future event or situation. Everytime such an event or future situation arises, memory of Barbara, her pleasant manner, & her goodness are there, too. Our friend Barbara, & her comment "we'll see," will always be remembered by Dharma Lisbeth, & Fred
We first met Barbara, known to us as Nana when our son Andy got engaged to Heather, Rita and Bob's daughter. At our first meeting, I immediately felt comfortable with Nana as she reminded me so much of my aunts and grandmother. She was direct, kind and funny in all the best ways; taking our mettle so to speak.
I really wanted to impress her so she would know we would love H as much as as she did.
Rest in Peace Barbara, you're with God and he will welcome you home.
