The donation will be used towards the purchase of books reflecting on his love of service to his country.
My Condolences to the Kline family. I was my pleasure to know your Dad for many years. I always enjoyed our conversations and his stories, and he always a smile on his face.
Here's to all of the close dear friends and family of Orvis Kline. This is a passing that none of us ever could ever be ready for no matter what part of our life he was to us all. To have met Orvis "once" is to feel like we have known known him our whole life no matter when or how he may have shown up in our lives. He was a great friend, Father, and mentor to everyone that was fortunate enough to be part of the fabric of his life. I think of "Fanfare for the Common Man" when I think of Orvis, but he was most certainly not just any common man. He loved people and people loved him and not just because he probably was the only Orvis any of us ever met or knew. He put so much of himself into everything he did that I think we were all so envious of his genuine obvious passion. He had a way of making the "life's stories or jokes" make us act like we have never heard them before. So may we all collectively celebrate the times he made us smile, laugh, be upset, or be heart warmed by what he said to change our day in a very good way. God Bless his glorious soul! We all know you are in heaven even if it came to you having to pick the lock on the "Pearly Gates". A life of foresight, at last rewarded....Bob Pratt
