Condolences
I am sorry to see this obituary but even more depressing is how I lost contact with this truly wonderful family over the years. As a young US Navy Aircraft Carrier Sailor, The Hoffman's welcomed me into their home for several holiday meals and other family events, just as if I was a member of the family. I developed a warm friendship with Keith and Craig and when Heather came around from college I got to meet and know her too. That house on Yarmouth Lane in Media Pennsylvania was a bustling hive of activity and warmth and a refuge for this Navy Sailor so far away from my own home, assigned to a ship in drydock in Philadelphia back in 1987-1989.
I cherish my times in the Hoffman home.
I recall those years with warmth and love.
I only regret that we lost touch in those years before cell phones and social media.
If anyone sees this and can reach out to Craig, Keith or Heather please give them my contact info.

Your Turngate Drive Neighbors
Aunt Valerie, Heather, Keith, & Craig,
I am so very sorry to hear of Uncle Phil's passing. It's been many many years since I've seen him, but growing up I have many memories of his gentle patience with the kid from the neighborhood that you couldn't seem to get out of your house. Please know that I am thinking of you all and wishing you peace and togetherness during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Scott
My sincere sympathy to Val and her family. I knew Phil and Val from singing in the Maris Grove Chorus and what fun it was to make music together. Val was so devoted to Phil and was a wonderful caregiver for him. My prayers are for Phil that he Rest In Peace and for .Val that she find comfort and support from her family and friends.
