Obituary of Nellie E. Stark

Nellie E. (Monroe) Stark, age 101, born on March 28, 1920 to the late Leathe Mae (Copeland) and Zalman Monroe. Nellie was a resident of St. Cloud, Florida, formerly of Folsom, PA and most recently of Chester, PA. She went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at her daughter Harriet’s home in Chester, PA.  Nellie was an accomplished seamstress and the manager of the women’s department at Wellworth Department Stores for 22 years. She a creative designer, making clothing as well as flower arrangements.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband through the United States and Canada.  Nellie was a great swimmer, teaching water ballet and water aerobics.

Nellie was a devoted member of Chichester Baptist Church.

 Wife of 60 years to the late Edward H. Stark; sister of the late Zachary Monroe.

Daughters: Nellie Conley of St. Cloud, Florida, Harriet (the late Jesse) Mann of Chester, PA, Debbie (Jerry) Crawford of Wellsboro, PA

Son: Edward (Happie) Stark of Madison, Florida

Sister-in-law: Dorothy Monroe

Also survived by many great and great-great grandchildren

Visitation: Saturday, May 22^nd after 11:00AM at the Chichester Baptist Church, 800 Cherry Tree Rd., Aston, PA 19014.

Memorial Service: Saturday, May 22^nd at 12noon at the Chichester Baptist Church.

Interment: Private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Nellie Stark to: Chichester Baptist Church, at the above address, and the donations will be distributed to Mrs. Stark’s favorite charities.
