Obituary of Jeffrey A. Kirby

Jeffrey A. Kirby, age 57, of Middletown Twp., Media, PA, died suddenly on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.  Jeff was born on July 28, 1964 in Chester, PA.  He was a graduate of Penncrest High School, Class of 1981. Jeff was a beloved husband to Lisa Kirby. Devoted father to Gina (Jake) Sexton, Gabrielle Matijosaitis, Joseph Kirby, and Rachel (Vincent) Kirby. Loving Pop-Pop of Nicholas, Nathan, Emma, Ava and Nova. Dear brother to Donna (John) McFall, Kathy (Frank) Cini, Lawrence (Tim) Kirby, Robert (Lyn) Young, Billy (Linda) Young, Brian Young, John Young and James Young.  Loving son of mother Joan Young and step mother Judy Kirby. Loved by his nieces Megan Kachel, Aubree Allen, Tori Cini, Lexi Cini as well as many other nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by Father’s Harvey Kirby and Robert Young; Grandparents Frank Scull Sr., Sally Scull and Uncle Frank Scull Jr.

Jeff was a handsome, funny, hard working and loving man. He loved his family with all of his being. He spent years coaching little league with his son, showing his daughters how to fix things, and spending many summers with his family down the shore. His 5 grandkids were the light of his life and he enjoyed taking them on hayrides through the graveyard and walks to the park.

Jeff was well known for his ability to make anyone in the room laugh. He could sell a 2 wheeled bike to a unicyclist and wood to a forest. He would stop whatever he was doing to help anyone in need and would never ask for anything in return.

Jeff was a beloved NASCAR fan, enjoyed going to the gun range, fixing cars, saving horses and loved his German Shepherds.  Jeff was voted Best Mechanic of Philly in 2010. Jeff worked as a manager of auto services for 23 years and loved his work family and customers fiercely.

There are no words to express the ache in our hearts from this loss, but we find comfort in knowing how much of Jeff will live on in each and every one of us.
