Obituary of Joan C. Rosa

 

Joan C (Brady) Rosa of Media. PA, she was born and spent her childhood years in Media, PA, she and her husband, Ralph raised their two girls, Joanne and Judy in Broomall, PA. Joan returned to Media, PA in 1994. She was a dedicated Nurse, an artisan Quilter and seamstress, a talented cook and baker. Her greatest devotion and interest were in her family and friends.

Her career was spent working as one of the company nurses for Glaxo Smithkline, she retired in 1985 after over 20 years of service.

Joan graduated from Notre Dame High School, Moylan, PA 1944 and then entered St. Agnes Nursing School as a member of the Navy Cadet Program. She graduated Nursing School – 1947.

She was a dedicated volunteer for ‘The Little Flower Manor” Nursing Home, Darby, PA.

An active member in various Quilt groups, most notably: Undercover Quilters Guild, Delaware City

Coastal Carolina Quilters. Joan was a member of the women’s social group – “The Red Hat Society”

Daughter of the late William and Mary Brady, Wife of the late Ralph Rosa and Sister of the late William Brady.

Survivors: Daughters: Joanne and Judy

Son-in-Law: Jack

Six Grandchildren: Jessica, Kelly, Megan, Erin, Colleen, and Maureen.

Eight Great Grandchildren: Sophie, Chloe, Cora, Patrick, Norah, Jack, Brady, James.

Visitation: Saturday, June 4th from 9:30-10:15AM at The Church of Nativity BVM, 30 E. Franklin Street, Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Mass: Saturday, June 4th at 10:30AM at the Church.

Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Media, PA.
