Obituary of Muriel M. Carpenter

 

Muriel (McKinley) Carpenter, “Mil” age 97, of Lenni, PA, formerly of East Lansdowne, PA, died on Wednesday, August 31, 2022.    She was born in Philadelphia, PA and was a graduate of West Catholic Girls High School, Class of 1942.  Muriel was employed with Pennsylvania Railroad and the FBI for a short time.

 

Mrs. Carpenter was a devout Catholic.  She was a parishioner of the Church of St. Francis De Sales, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister.  Muriel volunteered at the St. Rafael Retreat House and for the American Cancer Society, driving patients to appointments. 

 

Mil enjoyed entertaining and socializing with her many friends.  She loved Ocean City, NJ, and the family summer vacations.  Most of all, she was devoted to her family and cherished spending time together.

 

Wife of the late Harry Carpenter, Daughter of the late John and Marie Callery McKinley; predeceased by 4 Sisters and 2 Brothers.

 

Survivors:

Daughters: Kim Richards of Kent Island, MD and Jennifer Carpenter of Lenni, PA.

Son: Stephen (Dianne) Carpenter of Pittsburgh, PA

Grandchildren: Lauren (Mike), Abby, Katie, Michael

Great-Granddaughter: Gia

Also survived by many nieces and nephews

 

Funeral Mass: Wednesday, September 7th at 11:00AM at The Church of St. Francis De Sales, 35 New Rd., Aston, PA 19014, where friends may call from 10:00-10:45AM.

 

Interment: Edgewood Memorial Park.
