Dear Vicki was a precious friend. I weep with Pastor Britton in home going of his dear wife. I know his sorrow must be intense, but I wanted to share just a few words of encouragement. When I think of Vicki, I think of the incredible, gracious Christian woman who personified and represented Marcus Hook Bible Presbyterian Church. She was hospitable, caring and always had a warm smile for everyone with whom she came in contact.
On one occasion when Bible Presbyterian Church of Collingswood hosted the American Council of Christian Churches (ACCC), she actually drove from Pennsylvania to New Jersey and stayed up all night to help me prepare dinner for the entire group of ACCC participants in our church Fellowship Hall. We had talked and planned for weeks for this event and had the privilege of hosting about 150 guests. Many came up after the meal and expressed how much they had enjoyed her delicious dish.
What I really appreciated about her was that she supported me by her actions in the church kitchen. She was never critical of me for the steps of preparation that I took in organizing, laying out the food, or cooking and serving our guests for the large groups of meals for which we were responsible.
She was very creative and suggested many complementary menu items and recipes. In a very practical way, she actually also supported my clinical service by driving all the way to my place of employment to finalize plans.
Vicki truly set a model example as a Christian woman. In fact, I often share with my friends and family my experiences with the Bible Presbyterian Church of Marcus Hook through the lens of Vicki Britton. She beautifully represents Bible Presbyterian Church of Marcus Hook and was a perfect ministry partner with Pastor Britton in his pastoral serve there."
"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the passing of one of His saints."
Shortest verse in the Bible; "Jesus wept."
I was so happy to have known Victoria Britton. I met her when I attended the Bible Presbyterian Church in Marcus Hook, Penna.
She was always happy and smiling and ready for a good conversation. Victoria loved the Lord Jesus Christ and it was evident
with everything she did and said. I thank the Lord that I was friends with Victoria and Pastor Don Britton. I will continue to pray for
Pastor Britton that he will be comforted, knowing that his dear wife is safe in the arms of Jesus and rejoicing. Suzanne Bialoskurski
Vicki was always an encouragement to her friends at First Baptist of Media. She will be missed as a sister in the Lord, a close friend, an example, and a source of wisdom. Thanks for sharing her Don!
Vicky Britton, a sweet caring kind Christian woman, and dear friend of ours, has gone on to be with her loving heavenly Father. She is greatly missed and our hearts cry as we will miss her more than words could ever tell. We are praising God for how her life was a testimony of our Lord and Saviour and thankful for how she blessed so many. She believed in Jesus Christ as her Saviour and was happy to share her faith with other's. One of her favorite hymns was, In Christ Alone. She always loved when I played it at church. She also loved to share about how her family walked out of Communist China to freedom, and she cherished the freedom we have in America. I loved hearing about her life and experiences. She was such a brilliant and strong woman. Thank you for your friendship Vicky. We love you.
Much sympathy for the family, and prayers for comfort for Pastor Don Britton and the family.
