Mr. Painter volunteered in my Transitional First Grade class at Pennell Elementary School for several years. He read individually with each child and even gave them reading tips! The children couldn't wait for Mr. Painter to arrive! He was kind and reassuring to each child and made each one feel.special. Mr. Painter was our special guest at many classroom events . He even was a "father" to a child when they had no one to attend Father's Day breakfast. I will remember Mr. Painter as a mentor and a friend. He was a true gentleman and I feel fortunate that I was able to know him. God bless.
