Obituary of Joseph D. Coia

Joseph D. Coia, age 55, of Brookhaven, PA, died suddenly on Monday, March 20, 2023 after a long illness.

Joe was a graduate of St. James Catholic High School, Class of 1985.  He graduated Widener University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Joe worked for 25 years with Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission as a Traffic Surveyor.

Joe was a devoted parishioner of the Church of St. Joseph, Aston, PA.  He was an avid sports fan, enjoying all the Philadelphia Sports teams.  Joe also cheered on the Dallas Cowboys and the NY Yankees.  Throughout his life, Joe had a special place in his heart for dogs.  Most of all, Joe cherished spending time with his family.

Son of the late Horace Coia and nephew of the late Alexander Coia.

Sister: Jennifer (Stephen) Maiale

Niece: Gioia

Nephews: Nicholas and Salvatore

Companion: Perla S. Pierce

Step-Children: Francesca, Andrea and Angelo

Granddaughter: Peyton Joe

Visitation: Tuesday, March 28^th from 9:30-10:15AM at the Church of St. Joseph, 3255 Concord Rd., Aston, PA 19014.

Funeral Mass: Tuesday, March 28^th at 10:30AM at the Church of St. Joseph.

Interment: Private.
