Dear Lori & Scott, Your Dad was a wonderful man & enjoyed our brief chats with him going past my desk. He & I had some nice memories of Berlin, Germany as I lived there for awhile in the 1990ties. Sadly, I never had the opportunity to meet Horst during my time at the ‘Yard’ (Sun Ship),

But working on the Sun Ship Historical Society’s archives, I have seen many references to both his contributions to the successes of Sun Ship and as a ‘master modelmaker’. Our condolences to Horst’s family and friends.

I love you, dad, and will miss that gentle grin and twinkle in your eyes! Thank you for a lifetime of happy memories! You will always be in my heart! May you be now with mom with warm sunshine and a beautiful beach surrounding you, and I hope you have lots of seashells in your pocket.

I knew Horst from our many years of work at Sun Ship yard He was certainly a masterful artist and one of the finest gentle man I've ever had the benefit of knowing.
