Obituary of Anthony J. Valente, Jr.

Anthony was born to Tony and Kathy Valente in Wallingford, PA. He was raised with his brother Blaise Valente, and his sister Bridget Yarusso. He graduated from Strath Haven High School in 1999 and attended the University of Pittsburgh where he pursued a degree in Finance and Business.

Upon his return to Wallingford, Anthony worked in construction, including work on his family home, which included replacing the roof with his best co-worker and brother Blaise. In 2007, Anthony was accepted in the electrical apprenticeship program with the Chester Local Union 654 based in Chichester, PA. He excelled in his training and worked for different electrical contractors including most recently McGoldrick. Over the years, he worked as a skilled electrician and as a supervisor on commercial job sites throughout the Delaware Valley. Beyond his career as an electrician, Anthony would work alongside his father and mother at their family business Rocwel Industries in Concordville, PA.

Anthony was an avid music lover, and he attended concerts in Philadelphia regularly to see his favorite bands at large venues, or to be one of the first to hear up and coming musicians on smaller stages. He was also a talented musician who started young with piano lessons, and later as a teen taught himself how to play the guitar, and in adulthood immersed himself into drumming. In addition to music, Anthony loved boating and fishing. He shared the pain and joy of owning a boat with his brother Blaise. They spent many hours together on, in or around the boat making sure it could be enjoyed by themselves for fishing, or for evening cruises in the bays of Sea Isle City, NJ, with friends and family.

Anthony passed away at Thomas Jefferson Hospital surrounded by his family on August 5, 2023. He is predeceased by his father Anthony “Tony” and is survived by his mother Kathryn (nee  Ebner), brother Blaise, sister Bridget (Dan Yarusso), and nieces Irene and Marian, and nephew Carter. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.
