Condolences
I taught next door to Jim for many years. He was a true gentleman and wonderful man. I have so many fond memories of Jim. May he rest in peace in God’s love.

I met Jim through the Mid-Atlantic Radio Club. We combined our interest in Ham Radio with our love of the outdoors by supporting the Club’s public service events and by setting up our antennas in Ridley Creek State Park for an afternoon of radio operations. Recently, I introduced Jim to Astronomy; and we attended the monthly meetings of the Delaware Valley Amateur Astronomers and a couple of Star Parties. Jim was a good friend.
I am so so so sorry for your loss! He was a special man! I know you all will miss him very much! You are all in my prayers.

Jim taught my son in 6th grade at Paxon Hollow Middle School and was a positive influence on him.
I became acquainted with Jim through Amateur Radio years later and he was a friend.

Mrs. Smith, Amy and family- I loved hearing all of the stories of Mr.Smith and his legacy in the field of education. He was always so kind when we were together. May his memory be a blessing to your family.
Joan and Amy, I am so sorry for your loss. Amy, your tribute to your Dad is perfectly said. I’ve lived across the street from your parents for 40 years. I always admired them and their love for each other and you and your girls. He was a kind man for sure. He always helped any neighbor but I think he helped me the most. He always watched out for me when we had terrible storms and floods. I could ask him for help for the smallest thing and he would come right over. For awhile, I didn’t know who was bringing my trash cans up to the side of my house on trash days and when I told him it wasn’t necessary, he laughed and said, “ Joan makes me do it and I don’t want to get the boss upset”!!
Your memories of him will last forever and I know he’ll be watching over all of you. Sincerely, Ellie
Jim was a wonderful person. I always enjoyed being in his company—he was smart, funny, and so pleasant to be around. He loved his family dearly, and I know he will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. My deepest sympathy to Joan, Amy, Chris, Brie, Lauren, and Lindsey.
i will always remember you talking us to every park we could find. And going fishing.
My father was my hero and a true example of a gentleman. I will miss him every day. I miss his laugh and his humor. I MISS HIM. He was my rock. He treated my mother and I like gold, we were his girls. He was married to my mother for over 53 years. They were soulmates and my example of a successful and loving marriage. I was lucky enough to meet my soulmate and my father loved my husband! He was so happy to have a guy to talk too because he was constantly surrounded by women, lol. My daughters were so lucky to have him in their lives as long as they did. He always made himself available to spend time with them and take them anywhere they needed to go. He always made them and everyone around him feel special. I love you Daddy and we will meet again someday. Please watch over us.❤️
