Obituary of Sandra L. Worrell

Sandra Lee Worrell, age 79, of Stroudsburg, PA, died on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. Sandy was formerly of Butler, PA, Leechburg, PA and Carrollton, GA.

Sandy received an Associates Degree in Nursing from Delaware Technical School in Wilmington, DE.  Sandy was employed at St. Frances Hospital, Wilmington, DE, Chestnuthill Manor Nursing Center in Broadheadsville, PA and Homecare Nursing in Stroudsburg, PA and Carrollton, GA.

Sandy had a great love for dogs, particularly collies. She loved music by Elvis Presley, dancing, walking on the beach, light houses, camping and walks in the woods. She loved gardening and always had a beautiful backyard garden and a home full of lovely plants.  She enjoyed sewing, was a Girl Scout leader and an excellent cook.

Wife of the late Howard Ray Worrell and her first husband, the late Ronald J. Castelnuovo, Daughter of the late Nellie A. Slagle and Robert F. Stewart.

Daughter: Deborah Ann Koch (Joseph John Koch)

Grandson: Matthew Edward Koch

Granddaughter: Kristen Joann Koch

Sister: Carole Sue Huff (Les Huff)

Brother: James Stewart (Carol Stewart)

Nieces: Kandy Denise Domaracki and Marcy Sue Zavacky

Nephew: Donald Allen Stewart

A small Celebration of Life will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Aston, PA, on Tuesday, August 15^th at 11:00AM.
