Obituary of Regina M. Curran

Regina M. Curran, née Diamond, 97, of Media, PA, died at Granite Farm Estates on November 26, 2023. Born in Philadelphia, PA on November 22, 1926, Jean was the oldest daughter of the late Francis and Catherine (Guebli) Diamond. Family and the Catholic Church were foremost in her life. She was, also, active in various civic organizations and served as the president of The Business and Professional Women’s Organization. 

During World War II, Jean worked at the US Post Office followed by several years at Curtis Publishing. She retired after over two decades of service with the federal government, where she was named DCASR-Woman of the Year in 1976. Following her retirement, she enjoyed traveling especially her frequent trips to visit her children and grandchildren.

Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James F. Curran; her brothers, Francis, William, Charles, John, Joseph and Richard and her sister, Mary Catherine.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Margaret) Curran and Dolores C. Lazarus; her grandchildren, James (Molly) Lazarus, Sarah (Donald) Ridenour, Michael (Aimee) Curran, Brendan  (Amanda) Curran and Anna Curran; eight great grandchildren, her brother, Robert; her beloved sister, Margaret Hutchko and a large extended family.

Visitation: Tuesday, December 5th from 9:30-10:15AM at the Church of Our Lady of Charity, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, PA 19015.

Funeral Mass: Tuesday, December 5th at 10:30AM at the Church of Our Lady of Charity.

Interment: Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
