Obituary of Doreen M. Bateman

Doreen Mae (Wesley) Bateman, affectionately known as, "Wifey" age 64, of Boothwyn, PA, went to be with the Lord on December 18, 2023.

Doreen was born on February 13, 1959. She was an incredibly strong and loving woman, Doreen loved her children and grandchildren beyond measure. Her devotion and adoration for her grandchildren provided her the greatest joy of her life. Doreen's greatest accomplishments in life were her children, grandchildren, and her small business providing cleaning services in our community. She had a strong sense of pride after each job which was reflected in her work. 

 Doreen loved the summer season and taking family vacations to the beach. On any warm summer day you would find her enjoying the sun and spending time with the children doing almost anything to make them smile. While summertime was her favorite season, Christmas was her favorite holiday. Doreen/Mom-Mom would always put Santa to shame with how she showered her children and grandchildren with holiday joy.

Doreen was a graduate of Chichester High School ('77). She was preceded in death by her parents James H. and Esther Wesley and her daughter Jami Strain.

Survived by her husband of 38 years: Robert A. Bateman, her children James Wesley, Robert (Sarah) Bateman, Kristin Bateman. Her grandchildren: Brooke, Bryce, Harper, Robert (RJ), Kolton, Jocelyn, and Jemma. Her sister Denise (Jeff) O'Flynn. 

Visitation: Saturday, December 23^rd from 10:00-10:45AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service: Saturday, December 23^rd at 11:00AM at the funeral home.

Interment: Private.
