Obituary of Denise Anna

G. Denise Anna (nee Walwick) passed away on April 3, 2024 at the age of 89.  She was born in Virginia, MN in 1934, then moved to Ferguson, MO in 1946.  She was a 1952 graduate of Ferguson High School, a 1955 graduate of the Kahler School of Nursing within the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and earned her BA from the University of Houston in 1988.  Her nursing career included operating room assignments in St. Louis, MO, Minneapolis, MN, Appleton WI, and Creve Coeur, MO, culminating in ten years in the emergency room at the Humana Hospital in Clear Lake, TX.  She loved music, played piano, and sang in various choirs.  She also loved to read and play golf.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. 

She was the daughter of the late Charles O. Walwick and Mildred E. Smith. 

Survivors: husband of 67 years Dale G. Anna, 2 sons David Anna (Kim) of Louisville, KY and Daniel G. Anna (Amy) of Dover, DE, 2 grandchildren Lindsey Anna (Mark) and Josh Anna (Samantha), 5 great grandchildren Theodore Stilp, Charles Stilp, Lila Anna, Eloise Anna, and Penelope Anna, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Service and Burial: Private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
