Obituary of Mary C. Knight

Mary C. (nee Corgee) Knight, 92, of Elizabethtown, PA, formerly of Jenkintown, PA died Friday, January 6, 2012. Mrs. Knight was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA moving to Jenkintown, PA where she resided for 30 years. She had been a resident of Elizabethtown, PA since February 2003. Mary was a graduate of West Philadelphia High School Class of 1937. She was employed as a Bookkeeper with Bell Telephone Company, Robertson Florist of Chestnut Hill and Roland R. Randall Real Estate. Mary was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church, Roxborough, PA. Mary was devoted to her home and family. Her friendships were very important to her and she was very diligent in maintaining relationships. She enjoyed and was a successful gardener and many said she had a green thumb. Mary especially loved to watch the Lawrence Welk Show on Saturday night. Mary made many friendships at the Masonic Home in her 8 years as a resident. Mary was the wife of the late Casper J. Knight, Sr. who died in 1982 and sister of the late James Corgee, Alma Jordan and Harriet Herdelin. SURVIVORS Daughter: Sandra J. Knight of Drexel Hill, PA Sons: C. Joseph (Kathleen A.)
