Obituary of Barbara Ann Semple

Barbara Ann (Koller) Semple, age 85, of Media, PA, formerly of Toms River, NJ, died on Sunday, April 21, 2024. Barb was a graduate of Toms River South High School and attended nursing school. 

Barb was a former secretary with Higgins Electric. She retired after working many years as an administrative assistant to the housekeeping department at Fair Acres Nursing Home.

Barb was an actress with Marple Newtown and Swarthmore Players. She also performed at Media Theater.  Barb was a talented singer and performed with a band.  Barb worked extremely hard and when she retired she treated herself to a trip to Egypt. She had adventures of riding camels and touring pyramids.  Barb loved cats and always opened her arms to adopting more, as well as being supportive of their charities.

Daughter of the late Peter and Thelma (Irons) Koller; Mother of the late Bonnie Jean Semple; Sister of the late Peter Koller, Frank Koller and Donna Nicolini.

Survivors:

Son: William D. (Rebecca) Semple, Jr., of Boyertown, PA.

Daughters: Grace Ann (John) Carnevale of Media, PA, and Corinne (Tom) Pavlichko of Vera Beach, Florida.

Grandchildren: Jeffrey (Chelsea), Samantha (Andrew), PJ, Victoria, Jacob (Hallie), Emilee (Tom), Danielle, John.

Great-Grandchildren: Ella and Robert “Bo”

Sisters: Irene Hedinger, Kathleen Bench and Elizabeth Terry

Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Saturday, April 27^th from 10:00-11:15AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service: Saturday, April 27^th at 11:30AM at the funeral home.

Interment: Private.
