Obituary of Ellen S. Stone

Ellen S. Stone (High), Age 90, of Aston passed away on May 14, 2024. Born in Lancaster County she was the daughter of the late John and Barbara High. She was a graduate of Lankenau School of Nursing, Class of 1955 and spent many years as a registered nurse at Lankenau Hospital. She was the school nurse for Rose Hill School for mentally challenged adults for over 35 years. Retiring at age 82. A longtime member of Resurrection Church formerly Calvary Church in Rockdale. She was a member of the choir and served as a Eucharistic minister.

Beloved wife of Dr. Robert J. Stone and was preceded in death by her son Lt. Col. Robert J. Stone, Jr., granddaughter Kelly Hipple, sisters Alma Brubaker, Marian Risser, Dorothy Adams, brother Chester High.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Marinelli (Gene), John Stone, Kenneth Hipple (Judy), brother John High, sister Maryann Solesky. Grandchildren, Eugene, Amy, Matthew, Daniel. 1 great grandson.

Visiation: Saturday, July 20th after 10:00AM at Resurrection Episcopal Church, 2131 Mount Rd. Aston, PA 19014.

Memorial Service: Saturday, July 20th at 11:00AM at the church.

Interment: Resurrection Episcopal Churchyard.
