Obituary of Shawn F. Burns

Shawn F. Burns, age 45, of Ridley Park, PA, formerly of Brookhaven, PA, died on Thursday, May 23, 2024.

Shawn was born in Media, PA, and graduated from Salesianum High School, Class of 1996.  Shawn studied Network Security at the Chubb Institute and Network Administrations/Security at Anthem College.

Shawn enjoyed working as a Maintenance Control Technician/Dredge Support Assistant with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, for more than 20 years.

He was a longtime parishioner of The Church of Our Lady of Charity, Brookhaven, PA.

Shawn was an avid Phillies fan.

Grandson of the late Francis H. Burns, Mary Burns, Vera (Kline) Burns, George and Jean (Witkowski) Chverha. Brother of the late Richard J. Burns.

Survivors:

Parents: Richard J. and Helen (Chverha) Burns

Sons: Josh Burns, Richard Shelton, Alexander Burns

Sister: Mary Burns (Brian Sheller)

Nephews: Dylan Sheller and Michael Sheller

Also survived by 2 Uncles and an Aunt

Visitation: Tuesday, May 28^th from 6:00-8:00PM and Wednesday, May 29^th from 9:30-10:15AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Mass: Wednesday, May 29^th at 11:00AM at the Church of Our Lady of Charity, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, PA 19015.

Interment will be private at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre, PA.
