Obituary of William and Elizabeth Morris

William Francis "Willie" Morris, Jr., age 97, of Leland, NC, died at home on October 27, 2021. Willie was born on December 5, 1923. He was a graduate of Media High School and Temple University Technical Institute. He spent his working career with ABC Television for 35 years. Mr. Morris was a U.S. Army Air Force Veteran serving in WWII in the Pacific Theater.

Willie was a Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed boating, fishing, photography, tennis and gardening. He liked shooting the moon in the Hearts card game. He generously donated his time to make recordings for the blind.

Son of the late Sarah (Carbine) and William F. Morris, Sr., brother of the late Marian Schwerdtfeger and Patrick Morris; brother-in-law of the late Betsy Walters and Theresa Morris.

Survivors: Brother: Thomas, Son: Michael (Eileen) Morris, Daughters: Patti (Jim) Gunther and MaryLou (Ron) Carson; Grandchildren: Kristin (Zach) Israel, Amanda Cummins, Kevin Morris, Lindsay (Jake) Sibilla, Kate (Kris) Shiplett, Jeff (Sophia) Carson, Chris (Chris) Gunther and Laura (Brannon) Littleton; Great Grandchildren: Donivan & Noah Robertson, Elowyn Shiplett, Rylie Sibilla, Katrina Gunther, and Lake & Sophie Littleton; Many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Tuesday, June 4th after 10:00AM at the Minshall Shrosphire- Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Roads, Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, June 4th at 11:00AM at the funeral home.

Interment with Military Honors: Calvary Cemetery, Media, PA.

Elizabeth "Biz" June (Corcoran) Morris, age 97, of Leland, NC, died on December 3, 2023 at Hospice House in Bolivia, NC. She was formerly of Columbus, OH, Jensen Beach, FL and Allendale, NJ.

Biz was born November 21, 1926. She graduated high school and then secretarial school and was employed for many years as a secretary. Elizabeth volunteered at Valley Hospital. She enjoyed bridge and many other card games. Biz liked to cook, crochet, sew, read and play tennis.

Daughter of the late Bertram E. Corcoran and Catherine Elizabeth (Leindecker) Corcoran; sister of the late Jack Corcoran and Mary Farley.
