Obituary of William C. Harkins

 

William C. Harkins, age 92, of Aston, PA, formerly of Chester, PA, died on Sunday, June 9, 2024.  Bill was a graduate of Chester High School.  Bill received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Temple University.  Mr. Harkins was the Vice President with Wheaton Glass, until retiring.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving from 1953-1955.

Bill was a devoted parishioner of the Church of St. Joseph, Aston, PA.  He was the past president and longtime member of the Aston Lions Club.  Bill was a board member for more than 50 years with the Brookhaven Swim Club.

Bill enjoyed traveling to Florida and the New Jersey Shore, where he enjoyed fishing and his boats.   He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan.  Bill was completely devoted to his family. He cherished their times spent together and attending sporting events for his grandchildren.

Children: Alexis (Gary) Kaysen, William J. (Renee) Harkins, Michael (Christine) Harkins, Catherine (Jon) Osifat

Grandchildren: Stephanie (Michael) Trio, Ryan (Katie) Kaysen, Michele (Andrew) Seltzer, Jessica Harkins, Rachel (Justin) Parkanski, Mackenzie and Michael Harkins and Jonathan Osifat

Great Grandchildren: Elle Trio, Michael Trio, Kelly Trio, Olivia Kaysen, Jacob Parkanski

Funeral Mass: Tuesday, June 18th at 11:00AM at The Church of St. Joseph, 3255 Concord Rd, Aston, PA 19014.

Visitation: Tuesday, June 18th from 10:00-10:45AM at the church.

Interment with Military Honors: Mt. Hope Cemetery, Aston, PA.
