Sam was my Sunday School teacher - and so much more. Over the years, I grew really attached to him. He was my brother in Christ, my mentor and my friend. In short, he modeled Jesus. It was his unspoken guidance as much as his words of wisdom. He always had a calming affect on me. I watched as he rose at 4 a.m. to ready both his wife and his daughter for church, how he quietly and gently reached out to those in need, how he raised and shepherded a beautiful Christian family. He was a loving husband, father and friend. Well done, God's good and faithful servant.
