Obituary of Kathleen Parente

Kathleen “Kath” (Loughlan) Parente, age 97, of Brookhaven, PA, formerly of Southwest Philadelphia, died on Wednesday October 16, 2024 at Arbor Terrace. Kath was born February 17, 1927, in Stockport, England.

Kathy was a parishioner of The Church of Our Lady Charity. She was an avid reader and enjoyed dancing.  Kathy and her husband, Charles, enjoyed traveling. Kath was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished spending time with her family and helping with her grandchildren. They were the light of her life.

Over the last six months, Kath blossomed in her new home at Arbor Terrace. She developed new friendships, where she found enjoyment in new activities, such as bowling and sailing.

Daughter of the late Peter and Gertrude Rowland Loughlan; Wife of the late Charles J. Parente; Sister of the late Harry, Peter, Bernard, Anne, Mary, Frances, and Edie.

Survivors:

Children: Captain (Retired USN) Christopher Parente (Deborah Erb), Kim Knorr (Robert), Paul Parente (Mary Ann Baldwin) and Cynthia Slachta (Frank)

Grandchildren: Meredith (Fran), Christopher (Kim), Jillian, Jacqueline (Justin), Owen (Haley), Nicholas, and Roman

Great-Grandchildren: Holden, Grayson, Aven, Liam, Mia, and Rhys

Visitation: Monday, February 17th after 10:00AM at the Church of Our Lady of Charity, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, PA 19015.

Funeral Mass: Monday, February 17th at 11:00AM at the church.

Interment will be private.
