Obituary of Francis A. Savastano
Francis A. Savastano, "Frank" “Juice" age 93, of Folsom, PA, died on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
Frank was a graduate of Ridley Township High School, Class of 1949 and graduated with a degree in Education/Industrial Arts from Millersville University, Class of 1954. He went on to receive his Master’s Degree from Villanova University.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict from 1954-1956.
Frank began his athletic career playing basketball, track and football at Ridley Township Junior High School as well as playing baseball with Rutledge Boys Club. Throughout the years of being a successful athlete, he earned the nickname Juice.
In 1956, Frank was awarded “Rookie Coach of the Year” with Sharon Hill High School. He made his mark as a baseball coach and led the Owls to 3 consecutive section titles. Mr. Savastano moved on to Harriton High School as the football coach and athletic director. In 1984, after 38 years in education, Frank retired.
Frank enjoyed spending his time golfing and playing tennis. He was a talented photographer and cabinet maker. Most of all, he was devoted to his family.
Husband of the late Doris Garrison Savastano; Son of the late Anthony and Mary Savastano; Brother of the late George Savastano and Mary Ann Caldwell.

Grandchildren: Morgan L. (Nick) Hennessy, M.D. Ph.D., Evan A. (Sierra) Hennessy, Robert F. (Shelby) Marsden, Aidan F. (Sydney) Hennessy, Capt. Reed C. Hennessy, JAG, Shane F. Kubiak and Evan A. Kubiak
Visitation: Tuesday, November 26th after 10:00AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, November 26th at 11:30AM at the funeral home.
Interment: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
