Obituary of Paula G. Krissinger
Paula Groccia Krissinger, 76, of Media, PA, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts on September 17, 1948, Paula was a faith-centered and beloved mother, grandmother, community volunteer and lifelong educator. Her impact on the lives of others will be remembered for generations.
Paula graduated from Classical High School in 1966 and Fitchburg State University in 1970. She dedicated forty years to teaching and advocating for students with special needs, retiring from Ridley High School in 2011. Her passion for education and unwavering commitment to her students shaped the lives of countless individuals, as she strived to create an inclusive, supportive and nurturing environment where every student could succeed.
Paula was deeply devoted to her children, daughters-in-law and granddaughters. She cherished every moment spent with her family, offering them her love, wisdom, and a deep sense of connection. Her granddaughters ‘have been the greatest joy of her life.’
Paula loved to share her passion for music and the arts by attending theatre performances, concerts of many music genres and multiple book clubs. Paula was an avid adventurer, enjoying road trips throughout the country, many days at Longwood Gardens, and often was the last person to leave the beach.
Paula is survived by her three children: son, Stuart Krissinger (Melissa) of Ardmore, PA, son, Michael Krissinger (Jennafer) of Media, PA, daughter, Julianne Krissinger of Austin, TX; brother, Louis Groccia (Suzanne Wilson) of Northampton, MA; Granddaughters, Abigail, Sarah, Elizabeth, Paige, Phoebe and Norah.
A Memorial Service of Paula's life will be held Monday, December 9 at Lima United Methodist Church, 209 N. Middletown Road, Media, PA; visitation 10:00-10:45am and service at 11:00am. Donations in her name may be made to CityTeam Chester, PO Box 89, Media, PA 19063, or to Unite for HER, 22 E. King Street, Malvern, PA 19355.
Paula's spirit of love and dedication will forever be remembered.
