Obituary of Robert T. Allen

Robert T. Allen "Bob", 60, of Brookhaven, PA and formerly of Media, PA, died peacefully March 3rd at home with his family. He was the son of Rita and Carlyle Allen. Mr. Allen was born in Chester, PA and had been a resident of Brookhaven, PA since 1987. Bob attended Penncrest High School and served in the US Army in Germany. He was employed by Boeing as a Machinist/Tool and Dye Maker. He was a member of the UAW Local 1069 serving as the Chairman of the Substance Abuse and the Community Service Committee and the first union Chairman of the Board for the Boeing Employee Good Neighbor Fund. He was also a Chair for the Delaware County Literacy Council. He was a certified Employee Assistance Professional for the UAW Local 1069. Bob loved his family and most of all enjoyed spending time with them especially at the shore. He loved salt water fishing, flea marketing and the beach.
