Grandpop was the kindest and gentlest man I've ever known. He had the mind and temperament of an engineer, and the soul of an artist. I will always remember him as a patient teacher. He took great pleasure in spending time with his grandchildren and sharing his expertise, whether it was composition and perspective in drawing, or pitching a baseball. It seems to me he led a full and meaningful life, and I'll miss him dearly.

Grandpop was a sweet, gentle man. Hardworking, kind and attentive, even to those more than 80 years his junior. Thank you for all the love you gave to me since I joined your family, Grandpop. I'll miss you very much, as will the great grandkids. Peace.
