Obituary of Elizabeth McGonigle

Elizabeth "Betty" Anderson McGonigle ,of Bear, DE and formerly of Media and Aston, PA died Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at her home in Delaware. Born in Bryn Mawr, PA she was the daughter of the late Chester R. and Elsie P. Moore Anderson. Mrs. McGonigle retired from the former PMC now Widener University as secretary to the Head of the Science Department. After moving to Delaware, Betty worked part time for the Oncology Associates. Betty was a member of Mount Hope United Methodist Church. She was a life member of the Order of The Eastern Star, Media Chapter 511 and Springfield Friendship Chapter 551. Betty served as the Past Mother Advisor of the Media Rainbow for Girls, receiving the Grand Cross of Color. She was also a member of the Delaware Swedish Society and the Mid Atlantic Porcelain Artists. Betty was an avid seamstress, knitter, hobbyist and collector of porcelain dolls. She was a china painter and teacher for many years. Wife of 61 years to the late William "Bill" McGonigle who died in July 2007. SURVIVORS Daughter: Susan M.
