Frank A. McClenaghan, 92, of West Palm Beach, FL, formerly of Woodlyn, PA, passed away on July 31, 2012, with his family in Florida. The only child of the late Alberta and Frank A. McClenaghan, Frank was born in the Leap Year of 1920 in Chester, PA, graduating from Chester High School and attending the Pennsylvania Military College in Chester, PA. He later moved to Woodlyn, PA, where he resided until 2010, moving to Florida to be near his family. Frank loved boating and spent many years cruising the Sassafras and Chester Rivers on his houseboat in Maryland with family and friends and his beloved wife Grace, who preceded him in death. His greatest pride was being a Veteran, having served and being combat-wounded in World War II, earning numerous honors. After his retirement from GlaxoSmithKline in Philadelphia, PA, he became Quartermaster of VFW Post 1521 and devoted his later life to selling poppies, attending parades and funerals for comrades, and ensuring the wellbeing of his beloved Post 1521.
