Obituary of Raymond Bruce Taylor

Raymond Bruce Taylor "Stoney", 87, of Media, PA passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012 in his home surrounded by loved ones. Mr. Taylor was born and raised in Chester, PA. He was the only child of the late Raymond William and Mary (nee Redden) Taylor. He attended Penn State Brandywine Campus majoring in Chemical Engineering and Community College where he received the Certificate of Merit in Political Science. Ray was a proud US Navy Veteran serving during World War II (1943 - 1947) on the USS 4 S60 and was awarded the Purple Heart. Ray served as the VFW Commander of Lenni Post 6613, Adjutant of the American Legion Post 87 and dedicated Brother of the Masonic Concord Lodge No. 625 F&AM, serving over 60 years. Ray was the beloved husband of 57 years to the late Constance B. Taylor who died in 2006; Father of the late R. Bruce Taylor who died in 1997. SURVIVORS Daughter: Hope Taylor of Media, PA Granddaughters: Stacey Marie Kapp of Media, PA and Kelley Allyson Taylor of Seattle, WA Daughter-in-Law: Candace Taylor of Seattle, WA.
