Condolences
Aunt Janet was a main role model for me about how to see the bright side, no matter what. I loved her upbeat spirit, her belief in what was right and true, and her huge, loving heart. I feel sad at losing her from this world, but celebrate how she finally gets to be free in the next.
Dear Janet will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her bright outlook on life was one to be emulated and admired. Many woman who knew her would say, "I want to be just like that when I am older." Her wit and zest for life added much to our world. She was truly interested in everyone she met and appreciated them for who they were. I hold dear the long conversations we had and the sage advice she gave. This is a sad time for those that loved her but as Janet often said when the events of the day were at an end, " I think we should - party on."
I had the honor of knowing Janet for only three years. Even though she was in the process of loosing her sight she maintained an avid interest in the many sewing projects we were in the process of creating. Even though she never met my twin sister she was interested in knowing the in and outs of being a twin. She was a delight and we shared funny stories of taking tests for each other, fooling our children and buying the same clothes even though we were not together. I believe that her last breath on earth was followed by the first one with the Lord.
My family and I had the pleasure of knowing Janet for 15 years. There are many, many wonderful memories on the "bay" with Miss Janet as my children fondly called her. My two boys adored her and she did them. Janet's bright spirit will always shine and be a wonderful inspiration to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Janet! You will be missed wonderful lady! But party on and keep smiling and enjoying!
What a joy it was to have known Janet for the past 15 years. My family is so fortunate to have so many, many delightful memories at the "Bay" with her. “Miss Janet” as my boys called her; were so fond of her and her of them. My family was so blessed to have known her. Janet you will be missed but we will smile always as we remember you!
I have the fortune of having known Janet for more than 50 years. She was one of my favorite people. Her charisma was the ever-present twinkle in her eyes, her beautiful smile, and her cheerfulness and optimism. She made everyone feel welcome. She was always interested in the comings and goings of others and rarely spoke about herself. When she and my mom first met, probably in the late 1950's, they became good friends from the start. Later, after they both became widows, they spent time together traveling and doing things they loved. I'm glad my mom had such a good friend to share her later years with. I feel lucky to have known Janet and I'll miss her a lot, but she lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
