Obituary of Evelyn Sension

Evelyn Birtle Sension, 90, a longtime resident of Upland, PA, and recently residing at Lima Estates, Media, PA, died at Crozer Chester Medical Center in Upland, PA, on Thursday, May 9, 2013. Evelyn was born March 11, 1923, in Upland, PA, and was the daughter of John and Hannah Birtle. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank P. Sension, and her sister, Gwendoline Birtle Hury. Mrs. Sension is survived by her daughters, Evelyn Taylor (John R.) and Linda Steward (Robert B.); Grandsons, Brian (Dana) Taylor and Nathan (Jennifer) Taylor; Granddaughter, Megan Pearson (Dave); Great-grandchildren, Bethany Chester, Reed and David Pearson. She was a member of the Upland Baptist Church, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a bookkeeper at C.A. Powers Company, and retired from Concord Beverage. Services by the Order of the Eastern Star, West Chester Chapter #352: Wednesday at 10:30AM, followed by the funeral service at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. 352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063. Private Interment will be at Upland Baptist Church Cemetery, immediately following services. Remembrances may be made in the form desired by friends.
