Obituary of Jean G. Colby

Jean (Grant) Colby, age 78, of Brookhaven, PA, died Tuesday, August 27, 2013. Jean was a 1952 graduate of Chester High School. She was employed with the First National Bank of Chester, Chester, PA, for many years, until she started her family. Jean was a proud 60 year member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Chester, PA, where she began singing in the church choir when she was a teenager. She was a former worker and supporter for the Christian Academy, Brookhaven, PA. Jean will especially be remembered for her kind and caring ways; always ready to lend a helping hand to family and friends. Jean was known for her baking skills, especially anything chocolate. Most of all, Jean took pleasure in spending time with friends and family. Sister of the late Cameron S. (Eleanor) Grant and H. Marie (Elmer) Nagel SURVIVORS Husband: Arthur E. Colby, Jr. Daughters: Dr. Normajean Colby (David Miskowic) and Sue Ann (Michael) Downing Grandchildren: Samuel, Jr., Katelyn and Megan DeVecchis Sisters: Dorothy G. (John) Sidner, Edna M. Tryens (her late husband, Norris), Vera M. Truett (her late husband, Paul), Eileen G. (Domenic) Pascale, Ruth A. (Clemens) Andes Cousins: Doris G. (George) Kloehs and William A.
