Condolences
I worked with Bill at CertainTeed for many years. He will be remembered for his kindness. I am blessed to have known Bill.
Bill was a very dear friend of mine. We have known each other since 1999. I am from Texas but we have been able to maintain a very good relationship in spite of the distance. We shared each others joys and disappointments as well as the mundane events in our lives. He was funny, smart, sensitive and thoughtful. I much enjoyed bantering back and forth over world events and politics. There will be a large void in my life now and I'm not sure what to do about that.....he will be greatly missed. My good thoughts and prayers go out to his loving family and friends. Their kindness to me will always be cherished and forever remembered.
My brother Billy was a great family oriented man, even though he never had children of his home. He treated his nephews and niece as his own and my mother with more love than any mother could ever hope for. He was a great brother and will be sadly missed.
Being a long term employee of CertainTeed Bill and I crossed paths only a few times in a work environment, however I guess I got to know Bill best on the golf course. Although he did not play in the golf league recently I used to see him many times 15 to 20 years ago with his team member Wally. Like many of us he was not great at the sport but loved to play and loved to compete.
Following his retirement earlier this year he joined us for0the first time at an IT luncheon. He said he now had time to enjoy lunch without being rushed because of work commitments. Some of us are lucky enough to enjoy a number of years in retirement, unfortunately Bill’s time was way, way to short.
We will miss him.
