Obituary of Josephine Bottone

Josephine Bottone, nee (Cipolla) (Zappala) age 95, of Pinellas Park, FL passed away peacefully on September 6, 2013. Born Nov. 11, 1917, in Chester, PA, she is survived by her son, Bruce, daughter Diane (Ken) Costa, and daughter-in-law Barbara Bottone, grandchildren: Lisa Setaro, Peter (Denise Brown) Bottone, Jimmy Bottone, Tommy (Mindy) Bottone, Tracy Bottone, and great grandchildren: Brittany (Read) Ingold, Kristin Bottone, Michael Bottone, Benjamin Bottone and Cassandra Bottone. She was predeceased by her husband of 27 years, James A. Bottone, and her oldest son S. James Bottone. Josephine moved to Florida from Pennsylvania in 1975, leaving behind the memories of the wonderful Italian dinners that she cooked every Sunday for over 25 years for her entire family, including aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins. Her table laden with homemade pasta, lasagna, ravioli, meatballs and apple pie was the center of all the family gatherings. She loved hosting the Holidays, whether it was a picnic in July or Christmas dinner. She will always be remembered for the creativity and humor of her Halloween costumes, which to her delight, usually won first prize. She brought a zest for life and fun to everyone she met. Burial will be held at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA, where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband and son. SHE WILL BE ETERNALLY MISSED.
