Obituary of Robert G. Moorhead

Major Robert G. Moorhead, age 91, of Wallingford, PA and formerly of Edgewater Park, NJ, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013, at the Veterans Hospital, Coatesville, PA. Mr. Moorhead was born February 17, 1922 in Rockford, IL, he had been a resident of Edgewater Park, NJ for 13 years, before moving to Wallingford, PA, more than 25 years ago. Mr. Moorhead was a US Army Veteran serving as a First Lieutenant and was a POW, during World War II. He was a graduate of the University of Maryland earning a BS in Industrial Administration. Mr. Moorhead worked with the Chilton Publishing Company, as a Manager, Branch Office Administration, until his retirement in 1992. Bob was a member of the 80th Division Association, life-time member of the Military Officers Association of America and Post Oflag 64 Item. He also was a member of the Community Arts Center, Wallingford, PA and the Mexican Society of Philadelphia, PA. Bob enjoyed traveling with his wife to Mexico and Bermuda.
