Obituary of Daniel A. Bell

Daniel A. Bell, age 87, a 60 year resident of Rose Valley, PA, died at home on Tuesday, February 18, 2014. Mr. Bell was born and raised in Chester, PA, and was a 1944 graduate of Chester High School. He was a 1955 graduate of Drexel University receiving a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Bell was a veteran of the Army/Air Corps serving during World War II. He was the recipient of The Army of Occupation Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. Mr. Bell worked with Scott Paper Company's Foam Division as an Engineer for more than 25 years, until his retirement in 1982. After his retirement, he continued to work as an Engineering Consultant at Foamex. Mr. Bell was a parishioner of the Church of St. John Chrysostom, Wallingford, PA. He also was a member of the Society of Professional Engineers and he served as the former Justice of the Peace in Rose Valley, PA. Mr. Bell enjoyed flying radio controlled airplanes, gardening, woodworking and he was known for his ability to repair anything that was broken. He loved the seashore especially Stone Harbor and Avalon, NJ. Mr. Bell was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and most of all, he cherished spending time with his family. Mr. Bell was the brother of the late Josephine Bell. SURVIVORS Wife of 63 years, Victoria A.
