Obituary of Thelma L. Parker

Thelma Parker Thelma Loretta (nee Saffer) Parker, 93, died May 31, 2014 at Belle Haven Nursing Home in Quakertown, PA. Born in Perkasie, PA, she lived there for many years before moving to Quakertown, PA and then Coopersburg, PA. She was a graduate of Temple University. She taught piano when she was younger, and then worked for several years at the Pearl Buck Foundation before her retirement. Wife of the late David E. Parker, Jr., who died in 1973, and mother of the late Jere Parker who died in 1991; daughter of the late Harry and Caroline Saffer; sister of the late Matilda and Harry. SURVIVORS Son: David E. Parker, III (Christina) of Brookhaven, PA Daughters: Loretta Fallace of Laramie, WY and Denise Thompson (Gary) of New York State Four Grandchildren and Two Great-Grandchildren
