Obituary of Lena R. Anastasia

Nicolena "Lena" R. Anastasia, of Lima Estates, Media, PA, peacefully left us on Sunday, November 16, 2014. Lena had been a long-time resident of Lima Estates, where she was known to all, and entertained everyone with her keen wit. She proudly served two tours of duty in the Navy Nurse Corps during World War II and continued to serve our country as a nurse at the Veterans Administration Hospital of Philadelphia, PA, until her retirement in 1975. Lena was loved deeply by her family, and was treasured as the family matriarch. She was predeceased by her sister, Katherine Stamford and brothers Bill and John Anastasia. SURVIVORS Nieces: Katherine S. Dunn, Patricia Donnelly, Linda A. Schneider, Evelyn A. Lengetti and Antonia A. Garczynski. Grand-Nephews: Peter A. Dunn, Jr., James P. Dunn, Raymond H. Schneider, Jr., Anthony W. Schneider, Alexander J. Schneider, Frank Lengetti, IV, Joseph Garczynski, Jr., Jesse Garczynski, Harley Sproule and Parker Nicholas Dunn.
