Condolences
Our prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. We rejoice with you that Phyllis is with the Lord and you will see her again one day! She was a kind and lovely lady.
Jerry & Elaine Birmelin
May the lord console you and bless you. May your hearts glow with the knowledge that she rests in peace with God. May you continue to serve God with the dedication that Phyllis had.
Christ's peace.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family at this time. Phyllis has led a wonderful life and has been surrounded by those who love her - husband, children, grandchildren, and friends.
I praise the Lord for Joe and Phyllis Barnard. We co-labored to plant Chadds Ford Baptist Church some 30 years ago. Those were great, encouraging days indeed!Phyllis was my faithful secretary at CFBC for several years. She was an blessing to me and my wife Judy. We remember with fondness the early days of our church planting pilgrimage at CFBC. All that is said in the obit. is true...."and what can I more say, for time would fail me to tell of".. her servant's heart, her sweet demeanor, her strength as mother, wife and worker for Jesus Christ.
May God's amazing grace be found to be sufficient for Joe Sr, Joe Jr. Paul, Sharon, Tim and Carol and extended family loved ones remembering "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord"
Phyllis is safe in the arms of Jesus.
Love in Him,
Pastor David Natale
I valued Phyllis as a kindred spirit and mentor. I learned to see what walking in Jesus meant as a woman, mom, and spouse. I valued her example and deep love and service to her family and church body. I am sad to see Phyllis leave us, but rejoice in knowing that she is walking with Jesus. To Joe, Joe Jr, Paul, Tim, Sharon, and Carol I love you and my heart is with you.
Our prayers are with you all at this time. We were so blessed to have known Phyllis. She was a fine Christian lady - kind and lovely. We will miss her, but are rejoicing that she is with her Lord and Savior.
Mrs. Barnard was my Sunday School teacher at Fellowship Baptist Church. I remember her and her family always with smiles and rejoicing in the Lord...always! It's exciting to know for a certainty that we will one day be all together in heaven with Jesus one day, but praying for the Barnards until that day comes. Love you guys!
Dear Joe and Family
While I did not know Phyllis very well person-to-person, from those times that I did see her, from the many phone conversations we had during our Forest Service years, and from the many times that you, Joe, talked about Phyllis and your family, I know that she was a woman's woman, a true disciple of our Lord, and the rock of your family.
What is a definition/an example of a Christian Life?
Phyllis lived one - Amen.
May the Peace of the Lord be with you.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family during this time. It is a blessing knowing that Phyllis is present with the Lord and singing with the heavenly chorus. She was always a blessing in our lives while she and Joe were at Chadds Ford Baptist. Her servant's heart was evident to all of us, and I am thankful for the guidance and direction she gave to us while we worshipped there together.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you go through this difficult time. May the Lord comfort and strengthen you as He only can.
We praise the Lord for Phyllis's life and service to the Lord.
Dear Joe, I appreciate your letting your former forestry school classmates known of your wife's passing. I pray that the Lord will uplift and uphold you and your family in your time of mourning and grief. Isn't it wonderful knowing that your separation from her is but a temporary one? What a joyous reunion you will have when it's your time to join her. Perhaps you have heard of a great book titled, '90 Minutes In Heaven'. In case you are not aware of it, it is the true story of Rev. Don Piper, a Southern Baptist minister who died in a auto accident it Texas in 1989. He was pronounced dead by two EMTs, but miraculously came back to life after 90 minutes in heaven. I saw him in person several years ago, and got an autographed copy of the book. His inscription was, " See you at the gate". Lieway Book Stores have been carrying the book. I highly recommend it. God bless and keep you and all your family.
