Obituary of William J. Ahern

William Joseph Ahern "Bill", age 74, of Chadds Ford, PA, formerly of Media, PA, died Thursday, September 24, 2015, at the Pocopson Home. Bill was born on May 7, 1941, and was a graduate of the former St James Catholic High School, Chester, PA. He was employed with Independence Communications. Bill enjoyed working with his hands, and spending time with family and friends, especially over a good meal. He was the husband of 49 years, to the late Judith May Ahern, who died in 2013; son of the late Joseph Patrick and Anna Mary (Heibeck) Ahern; and brother of the late Mary Patricia Ahern Hayes, who died in 2010. SURVIVORS Sons: Stephen Mark Ahern (Litsa), Kenneth Brian Ahern (Terri) and William Thomas Ahern Grandchildren: Mikayla, Patrick, Calvin and Alyssa Brother: James Patrick Ahern Also survived by many nieces and nephews in the Hayes and Ahern families.
